Is the horn made from tin or brass I wonder ?

It’s a brass horn and doesn’t seem too bad for the price. Trouble is there aren’t enough pictures to view the coin mechanism properly. Where does the penny go in?

The other trouble is the seller who may be a previous seller that I’ve tried to buy from but now using a new username. Here’s the previous:

The low feedback already suggests this is the same seller who sells items and then reneges on the deal.

I've sent him a message asking for more pictures of the case, and he replied saying it was a repro case.

So he only declares it has a repro case when you ask for photos. Talk about rabbit in the headlights! I'd still insist on those photos and an updated description if I was remotely interested in buying it.

Mind you, I'd be extremely wary of buying anything from anyone who shows such utter contempt for buyers or refuses to make ANY effort to properly and accurately describe something, let alone use proper English grammar, spelling and punctuation in their listings. Is it really too much to ask?

You see, there's something about their lack of care or attention to detail which feeds into everything they do including packing the darn thing!

The pictures that are there, are absolutely awful and three of them are duplicates. It also looks like the motor is in parts, with no detailed description and doesn't look complete. It also seems that if someone really wanted to sell an item, they might take a minute or two to wipe off all of the accumulated dust and crud and at least try to present it as well as possible...
Obviously, spelling is not his strong suit...

The Parlophones I've seen with this type of coin op mechanism have the arm at the center, not on the side of the machine. The reproduction case explains why - the actual cases all have drawers to collect the coins. The photos also show several loose parts in a box, meaning that the motor does not work. Moreover, without a slot, it is not really coin operated. It is a frankencoinphone!

Frankencoinphone pretty much sums it up. Until you actually pick it up you can’t be sure what you’re buying and while your travelling to Northwich there’s a chance he’s cancelling the deal.
