Unusual Japanese portable on UK eBay

This "Gondora" could be either a Columbia client machine or an unauthorised copy.
It has some Columbia/Garrard components but appears to be cheaply made when compared to a genuine Columbia.
I find it hard to believe that it left the factory with the horn mouth unfinished in bare wood.

By stipulating collection only from London, the seller is restricting their potential market. Portables are easy to post!

Do I detect a felt pad glued to the base of the horn location? If so, that suggests that the internal horn is missing.

It does look as though it’s missing the horn tray or insert…

I think you are both correct, but why would anyone remove it?

Just realised what I thought was a felt pad is actually the plastic crank handle. Must get some new glasses! That aside, it still looks as though the internal horn is missing.
