Columbia AB with lid locked closed. Help!

Post by cheryla »

I received a Columbia AB that should have been better packed. Unfortunately the lid is completely locked closed, probably the mechanism slipped? I cannot get the lid open and have tried removing the lock mechanism from the outside! Any ideas how to open this beautiful cabinet?

I got it apart after much delicate labor, without breaking anything!

I saw your video Mr. Hurt. You’re a lot more luckier than some folks. The only time I ever bought an Edison machine from eBay the Lid had some damage! Thankfully I can get a replacement. I’m not going to get into the incident I had with a VV 2-55 3 years ago 😑but I learned to take the term “professionally packed” with a grain of salt.
