Unusual French HMV101 lid transfer

I have never seen the circular HMV transfer inside the lid of a portable before.
Described as green faux crocodile, it looks dark blue on the poor quality photos.

The logo cleared... Seems to say CIE FCSE DU GRAMOPHONE clearly in the upper arched letters

And yes, it seems green croc. Marvelous! Never seen one before
Once I was offered two portables, coming from a Spanish home, two 101s for the price of one. I don't remember if one was black or what, but the other... The other was truly grey (dark grey) croc. Marvelous! But I felt somewhat guilty, as just the day before I had purchased the Aeolian upright, and I felt my wife was going to become outrageous if I bought two more gramophones. Silly me... I must have taken the grey one. Never seen again another one like that!
I don't remember if it was imported... French hmv branch had their own particularities, as the Spanish branch also had their own models in the early 1900s... Later Spanish hmvs were standard, no variations.

Yet the other image when cleared seems blue croc, not green...
