I am selling a Standard E project machine. The good: The Model N reproducer (untested) is included. Original crank, with very little nickeling, is there. The bad: No lid, gear cover, and the motor parts are loose in the cabinet. Not sure all motor parts are there. I am happy to deliver the the Buena Park Expo at no additional cost. Preference is give to Expo attendees. PM if interested or any questions.
I thought it interesting that the ID tag says "Combination Type" yet it's a four minute only player.

I’ll take it Jerry! I have the parts to complete. Bedplate seemed to look ok too.

Still for sale... Checked and no sapphire in the N. Also a broken top of the casting for the carriage rod at the crank end. This would not affect play but I want to be truthful.

I spoke too soon! Wife says I’ve got too many projects going now. This should be a great project for someone else—I have always liked the model E standard, and have not seen the “combination” on the ID tag like this, either, as it is pure 4 min.

Interesting data plate. They must have been using up old data plates from the Model D when they utilized it for this E.Jerry B. wrote: Sun Jul 11, 2021 6:25 pm

This machine has a lot of potential to be resurrected from the dead, in spite of its current, neglected condition. Put the rusted parts in a reverse electrolysis bath for a week or so and it will be on its way. Polish the parts, degrease and re-grease the motor, refinish the cabinet and get a new decal to complete the main project... Get the reproducer rebuilt and you end up with a nice 4 minute machine for not much.

Re: SOLD!: Edison Standard E Project- $125
It appears this one sold--sounds like someone got a deal. The one I had cost me 125 when I purchased it, and then I had to buy the blue horn & a bunch of other stuff before restoring. Martin (Mormon S) has it now & he's done a re-restoration to get it to match the rest of the collection; it does look nice.
I'm starting to think about trying to find another E eventually.
