Wanted: Modernola nickel plated reproducer and tonearm

Post by cheryla »

I need a nickel plated reproducer and tonearm for a Modernola phonograph. Does anyone have one for sale?

Bret, Do you have pictures of what you need that you could post?

It came with no reproducer and the tonearm looks aftermarket. I have enclosed pictures of what it looks like now.

Gods! That tonearm seems one of the solid good Columbia Viva-Tonal tonearms of the 600/700/800 series consoles...

There's a photo of a Modernola tonearm & sound box, in gold, here: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/ ... 1816910665

I agree that the after-market tonearm--above--is a (US-made) Columbia Viva-Tonal tonearm.

The one on eBay has been for sale for months and months and months. I was hoping to locate one already nickel, not have to buy one and have the gold stripped and have it re-nickeled.
