This is something that really bugs me! Yet another seller parting out nice original phonos to maximize profit.
Amberola V! Nice oak cabinet, really nice mech with great original paint, nice nickel on the horn connector.
I asked him/her if they would sell it all, back together - seems to be close to Dr Blais, whom I'd then lean on to grab it - and here’s the response.
Awful.

I have tried dealing with him in the past as well. I got the same response. It is a shame for people to disassemble perfectly good phonographs for mercenary purposes.

I see this sort of thing all the time with vintage American-made guitars, too.
There have been grumblings about forming lynch mobs on some guitar sites.

I've seen one in a Spanish antiques website... who even doesn't take the work of dismantling. He (or she) shows photos of the parts for sale still assembled in the machine....! What a pity!

The same person bought both the motor and case (both bidders have 975 feedback, I don't think that's coincidence), hopefully to reassemble.
