??? Did it have a gold plated deck? Was the cabinet mahogany? Did it have great attachments? Inquiring minds want to know. Jerry

Did this sell on ebay? I'd love to see it. I wish I can get that kind of money for my Standard

at that price, I'd hope it was solid gold, not plated!

I found the Standard. It is ebay no. 1904748888094. It was sold by firebottles. He always gets high prices for his items. He has really nice stuff, though. The machine is a Standard F with an S reproducer. It is a scarce machine, but not worth $6100. I'll bet firebottles is laughing all the way to the bank on this one.

Here is the correct ebay item number:
190474888084
From what I read in the listing it only came with a standard H reproducer. It only mentions that you can swap out other models.
This is a good example of how great photos and a tantilizing description can make almost every item more desireable. I think I'll offer to pay this dealer a fee to write MY copy when the time comes for me to sell!

It's interesting that Firebottles always has machines that are "near mint" condition. They all look the same because he resprays them. This machine had a repro crane on it which at least he was strait forward on mentioning that. It surprises me that a very nice Gem model E doesn't sell for $4700 but a Standard F sells for $6100? It defies logic. In fact all of the prices Firebottles gets defy logic.

I have a Home D with black cygnet and H reproducer that I'll sell for $750. Any takers?
