The Wilson Home Electronic Cylinder Phonograph is now available.
The machine is available in two different configurations, the Standard and the Concert models. Both are made using the same, high-quality components, and the Concert model has all playback components built taller, to accommodate those massive cylinders. The Concert model also includes mandrels for standard, Pathé Salon and Edison Concert cylinders.

The machine is build using a small, precision metal-working lathe as it's "core". The mandrel and feed screw motors are both direct-drive and are independently controlled, which allows for playback of cylinders of virtually any speed or groove-pitch. The high-speed, DC gear motors have all metal gears and are acoustically isolated using laminated-rubbers dampers. The tonearm uses a Technics style 4-pin heads hell, which allows for the use of the cartridge of your choice, and is connected to stereo RCA jacks (Phono-Out).

All plastic components are 3D printed. Mandrels are printed using ABS plastic, with a steel insert and machined on a specialized lathe to aproximately +/- 0.001".

Both the mandrel and feedscrew have digital indicators for their speed, and the feed screw dial is marked for 2M and 4M speeds.

The faceplate is laser-cut aluminum & acrylic, the rest of the base is wood with a finished birch deck. The machine runs off of 12V DC and a regulated power supply is included. The machine can also be operated via battery, which is not included.
