This is an Edison Fireside Phonograph, Model A, Combination. It was first marketed in July 1909. It has an Oak case and lid, both of which are in excellent condition. The Edison decal on the front of the case is there but is missing some of the letters. Some of the finish has come off but the case coloring has been blended so that you must look hard to know it is missing. The bedplate striping is 95% there. It has a No. 10 Edison Cygnet horn that is also in very good condition. It is supported by the crane mounted on the Back of the case. The bottom portion of the crane has been painted silver. The phonograph plays both 2 and 4 minute cylinders and has a Model H reproducer with a good stylus. The phonograph comes with 12 cylinders.
The phonograph has been restored, as appropriate. The motor has been taken apart, cleaned, and sparingly lubricated. The top mechanism has been taken apart, cleaned, polished, and lubricated. The reproducer has been rebuilt. The entire mechanism has been adjusted and plays perfectly.
One of the main advantages of this machine with a cygnet horn is that the horn is large but does not stick out into the room where it is displayed. The large horn provides much more volume than a small horn.
I am asking $1100 (NEW PRICE) or best offer. Payment by cash or check, no Pay Pal.
