The Long Console is in Kentucky, an Upright in Michigan, and another Upright in North Carolina all on marketplace.

Pictures even better.
Facebook and eBay links etc expire very quickly, and posts like this become utterly useless for anyone searching the board for reference material in the future.
A picture can speak a thousand words when assessing a potential purchase for originality, variations and restorations.

Now if someone does a search for Meteor phonograph in 3 years time, you can see a couple different models, what the original tonearm looks like, etc etc.
It just makes the thread worth looking at in the future.

I must say that first console is probably the ugliest thing I've ever seen lol.
I can't help but wonder if the cabinets been altered in some way, or if it was simply a horrific design they hoped would sell.
If that's the case I can see why the company didn't last long.
The horn is interesting though.
It appears to be a metal horn very similar to what's used in an Edison Diamond Disc machine.

Several off brand companies were trying their hand at creative "period" consoles once we rolled into the 1920's. I wouldn't be surprised if Meteor tried to tap into that market... However, I do agree that the cabinet does look a little suspicious to me.... Hmm... maybe some more research is needed. I may do a little digging.... Most of the Meteor off brands I see around the East Coast are uprights like the other unit pictured earlier in this thread....

Yes, Orthofan, that is the third "missing link". I hope they go to worthy collectors----that one with the broken grill might be a problem child, unless enough pieces are in the horn?
