Looks like the entire case & horn was stripped, and the original motor replaced with the electrical motor--sometime in the 1940s--maybe 1930s?--based on the plug....
Still, overall, the case & horn seem to be in very good condition, and it could probably be refinished and fitted out with the proper guts. The horn alone would probably be worth the price if it stays close to where it is now.

That won't stay there, not with that horn, it will go for well over 1 or 2K.

To amend my post above, as was pointed out to me, there are a couple of repairs that had been made to the horn:
Still, all in all, considering what a wooden horn--even one in not so great condition--goes for today.....

When the original motor failed decades ago, many people would have scrapped the machine as not worth repairing.
Someone saved it by re-motoring it. It may be a non original update but it is part of it's history.
The machine has lived a life, and I would keep it's electric motor.
