Anyone need a decent cabinet for one ?

Yes I do. The cabinet for my 9-55 has been badly damaged by water in the past (before I owned it) to the point where the cabinet has rotted in places, vaneer on top is missing, the doors are coming apart and also extensive lifting of vaneer all over. The cabinet you highlighted is now on its way to me after some discussion on the price to bring down the cost substantially. I figured the cost of the cabinet plus the shipping to New Zealand was a cheaper option than repairing the existing cabinet I have.

Whilst the "new" cabinet is missing the albums and the fascia board for the radio section I have both of these anyway and will simply move them from one cabinet to the other. Thankfully this part of my existing cabinet was undamaged. This way I will have my 9-55 in a really nice condition original cabinet by taking out all the works from my exisitng cabinet and placing it in the new one. Thanks for bringing this one to my attention.

BTW I have seen a worse case of 9-55 mutilation which I was sent a photo by another member of this board. I will see if I can find it! It really was horrendous!

I used to have picture of a 9-55 that was cut in half. The changer side was
modified to have an aplifier and speaker where the record albums were located. Looks pretty ridiculous! I was bidding on it at an auction for the changer but it went too high!!

The one I had in mind was a 9-55 in its original cabinet that had had the radio taken out and a modern one put in in its place. It looked hideous! I was sent the link by someone who knew I was looking for a cabinet...but sadly it was far too expensive for me to consider But I think you win in that the 9-55 cut in half was worse LOL! Do you still have that photo?

EDIT: I've just checked and what I had was a link to the ebay auction and of course the photos are now long gone. Wish i'd save a copy of the photo.
