The type of tone arm you show is common to many HMV, DG, G&T, Victor etc. machines. The Victor/Gramo family as I call it. There are two sizes, with each size the tonearm remains the same size but the brackets are both slightly different lengths. A longer one for 10 inch turntable machines which have a smaller case. And the slightly shorter one for 12 inch turntable machines. This was done to ensure the needle will fall at the point of the turntable spindle.
The shorter bracket has a total projection of 6 ½ inches (166mm) as opposed to the longer bracket at 7 ¼ inches (182mm).
I have a G&T Monarch Senior which was found with the longer bracket and therefore the needle falls too far short of the spindle. It still plays and may have gone unnoticed for many years by most people but is likely to cause more record wear.
I did post a thread about this but the picture is now lost. I found a similar picture which shows the two different sizes. There is also the much smaller tonearm and bracket used on the Victor 1 type Monarchs.

Just to add to what jamiegramo has already said, and to add a bit of confusion, no doubt, there are other variants too.
The Intermediate Monarch (HMV) also has a unique tonearm and bracket / elbow combo which was also used on a Victor equivalent model.
Lest we forget the Spanish Market which had its own unique brackets on some models which were doubtless manufactured locally. These also tend to be cast in brass with serial numbers in the top edge of the mounting plate.
