Hmm, well I guess what's left isn't in too bad condition, and it probably is in excellent working condition for a motor that needs a service and a soundbox that needs a rebuild. :lol:
Pity it's so over priced. It's not everyday you see a motor board complete with surround, and complete internal horn and louvers. No doubt someone out there could have dropped the whole lot straight into a gutted cabinet and made a nice little machine.

I used to live in Santa Maria so I check the CL ads there on occasion. This one

I love it when people use a patent date to tell you when the machine was made. 1904, get real.

After having thought about this a little, is it possible that this is a very early Victrola? Perhaps offering an "exposed enclosed horn" to ease people into the concept of an enclosed horn? ;)
