Recording blanks

Post by Sidewinder »

Here a mystery to me. They are 7 inch in diameter. The possibilities I think are wax recording blanks for records or early dictation blanks
I compared them to Pathé Roneophone, but its not the same.

The spindle hole is large like a Standard disc

Any ideas to what kind of a recording device would be much appreciated.

Wow! They look cool and I hope you can record on them as I do not know what to record them with. Have you tried a standard gramophone?

A regular gramophone would not work for recording: you would need a feed screw to guide the cutter.

First, if we wanna know what this is, we first need to know what label produced this and then we need to know what machine it is for.
