We have a Victrola Talking Machine with records in records box, indicating it is a consolette 24423 SN from an estate to sell. Please message for inquiries and offers. It seems to function well insofar as I was able to get it to play a record. Located in Tampa, Florida

The Consolette models normally do not age well. Being at the low end of the Victor Orthophonic line, they seem to have not warranted great care and upkeep over the years. Yours, on the other hand, appears to be fairly nice. You don't show the condition of the lid surface however. That's the most abused portion of most cabinets and the least photographed in most sale listings. Your example is also interesting in that it's the early version, with no speaker grill or grill cloth. Honestly, this is the first example I've ever seen and didn't know there was such a thing. Kind of makes it the "rarer" form of the one of the least rare models.

If it were mine, and if the finish on the lid surface is as nice as the rest of the cabinet, I'd say maybe $150.00 - $175.00 tops, and I'm probably a bit high at that. This also assumes that the reproducer is in decent condition and is at least rebuildable, (many are not). Others can disagree, and maybe for good reason Personally, I like that it's an early example.
