Repairing Edison two Minute Wax Cylinders

Are there any tips members can give me on repairing some tiny nicks or holes on the playing surface of Edison & Columbia two minute Black Wax Cylinders ? I believe I saw an on line answer to this question a few years ago, but finding the source now has eluded me. Thanks for your help.

I make cylinders, and have never had good luck repairing them, lol!. The cylinder doctor, Mike K, is the most skilled in this area, he uses dental wax, and tools, and they work well. It is odd, you are nt able to use cylinder wax, it cools too fast filling cracks, and shrinks, and the repair falls out.

Yes indeed, that is Maroongem, I recognize that post, He is one of the most informed and knowledgeable collectors out there, and seems to really knows his stuff.
I am confident that is where I saw it before and will definitely give that a try, and report back with the results.
