WANTED: Brunswick Seville Horn & Grill

Hello!

My neighbors recently inherited their first phonograph. Since I own several, they knew I was the guy to talk to. Unfortunately, upon inspection, we found the horn to be missing (and the front grill too). I don't own any Brunswick phonographs and know little about them. The reproducer will need to be rebuilt and other general repairs are needed (motor springs, finish, etc).

For now though, my neighbors are just looking for a horn and grill to fit their Seville. Serial no. is 236142 (likely made in the 1920's it seems). I tried attaching photos but it was quite slow to upload. I can try again after my original post if needed.

What is your general location? The reason I ask is because that factor may be a key component because a "donor" machine will most likely be the best route. If you post your location, maybe some collectors within "driving distance" can assist. I have seen some "rough" Brunswick machines advertised on Craigslist and Facebook lately for LOW prices in my part of the country... seriously, I think I saw a rough/incomplete console model the other day for like $25.

That would have been an ideal situation to grab the internal horn.

Great idea! I am in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. I can look on Craigslist, but I will also hope that some local collectors have leads!

I looked on Craigslist and eBay but couldn't find anything. That's the trouble with Brunswicks. They just didn't have the production volumes that Victor had it seems, and here we are many years later...
