Edison Model D Repeater

Post by phonogfp »

“On This Day in the History of Recorded Sound…”

June 10, 1904: Edward Aiken filed for a U.S. patent on a “Repeating Attachment for Phonographs.” This would appear in October 1904 as the Edison Model D Repeater.

A tricky little device, but once you finally get it to work, it’s an engineering piece of magic. Love it!
