FBM--Coronet Portable--Red Deer, Alberta

Post by Lah Ca »

Here is curious little item, a German Coronet portable.

$200 CDN

It seems to be in mildly ratty cosmetic condition, but it is interesting to look at nonetheless.

"It seems to be in mildly ratty cosmetic condition..."

I'm trying to figure out your grading scale... :D :?
On a normal scale of 1-10, it doesn't seem to fit anywhere... maybe -10.

Canadians are often given to ironic understatement, a form in inverse litotes.

I don't know why I thought this machine was German. It is American, I think.

Here is one in much better condition that sold at auction last year for $45 CDN.

Interesting. Is it indeed a Russian machine?

It seems to be of a very unusual design rather than a knock-off copy of something else.
