HMV 'Tungstyle' gramophone needles.

Post by poodling around »

Were these needles only made in 'soft', 'Loud' and 'Extra Loud' I wonder ?

I have never seen any other type of tungstyle needle and have a 'sample' tin which has these three types of needles ......... so I guess these three needle 'tones' were all there were ?

Thank you as always for any help with this.

Those were the three options. It does seem odd that Medium/Half Tone was never offered.

Thank you very much as always epigramophone. It does seem odd, I agree.

I see a Victor (USA) one on ebay at the moment which states 'full tone' - but I am thinking only about HMV (UK) products.

I am now 'all the wiser' ! Thanks again !
