Columbia Eagle Type B repair

I bought this beaut at a thrift store for $65.

Pretty sure it's a Columbia Eagle Type B. When I turn the winding knob, there is no resistance. So I assume it needs new spring(s). Where can I get some replacement springs?

Also it's obviously missing the reproducer. I only see a listing on eBay for like $200. Any better source of parts? Any other model reproducers that would work on this machine?

I don't care about it being perfect, or even original. It would just be nice to make it play however I can.

Just started taking it apart and what's the first thing I find? It needs a new belt too 😁

So I have it all apart. Who knew that 100+ years ago screwdrivers were thinner so none of mine will work on these screws...

Yours is a early one from 1897 or 1898. What's the serial number on it?

You can ask the Yankee Trader section or Thephonographshop.com

Ooh boy that’s EARLY! Congrats! Made before September 1897 for sure! I got 82108 Coming soon.you got a DEAL there! The one I’m getting doesn’t come with a reproducer either but I’ll temp use the one on my Q anyway. But I think the one for a Eagle that says REPRODUCER on it is slightly larger?

I don't know anything about these. Learning as I go. What other reproducers would fit that I could get my hands on? This is all I can find...

That would by my personal choice for my machines. But It needs an attachment screw too.
I think Thephonographstop.com maybe of some assistance

So I've gotten this far and the spring is definitely broken on the gear side of the motor. How the heck do I get the shaft out?!

The spring on the other side looks like it's not broken, but it also doesn't look installed correctly. Shouldn't the bent end go around the shaft and hook on the little nub?

Ok so I got the shaft out of the end that's not broken and put it in what looks like correctly now. This is the same piece as the third pic in my last reply.
