FOR SALE: Parting Out 78 rpm Collection in Roanoke, VA

About six months ago, I posted a notice on this forum regarding a 78 rpm collection that had become available for sale. Well, the response was dismal, not surprisingly, due to the difficulty in finding a local collector interested in all $5,000+ records.

I'm reposting the availability collection because the seller is willing to part out the collection for $1 apiece, no minimum purchase necessary.

Pickup in Roanoke only. He will not ship.

Thus far, a small handful of collectors have gone through the records and have purchased a few. My belief is that there is very little, if anything, exceptionally valuable there, but there very well might be. As far as I can estimate, there are 5,000+ records. I have gone through most of it and this is what I saw:

Jazz, 1917-1940s
Dance bands, 1920s-1940s (many Depression-era here)
Popular vocalists, early 1900s-1940s
Personalities, vaudevillians, spoken word, etc.
Instrumentalists, early 1900s-1940s
Country/Hillbilly, 1920s-1940s
Classical, many Victor Red Seal, Grand Prize, Patent, Scroll and Ring labels; Columbia and other labels as well
