FOR SALE-Rare Emerson record
FOR SALE- Charlie Chaplin Emerson Record. A recording composed by Charlie Chaplin and signed by him as well. It has a slight crack which doesn't affect the play. First reasonable offer will own this rarity.

Re: FOR SALE-Rare Emerson record
What do you consider a "reasonable" offer on a possibly rare, but cracked, record? Play is not the biggest concern, but future stability is.

Re: FOR SALE-Rare Emerson record
Tip for permanently fixing this record: Use WeldBond glue (remains flexible when dry and is water soluble before drying).
Spread a thin layer on both sides of the crack, flex the record slightly to open the crack and force the glue in with your finger.
Remove excess glue and lay the record on a flat surface. Press down carefully to re-align the crack, then wipe both sides with a damp paper towel to remove any excess from the grooves. Let it dry overnight and you will have a solid, stabilized record with no chance of future damage.
It's important to use WeldBond glue - not super glue, etc. which can't be removed from the grooves...

Minus the crack, this is a really cool record. How much would you like it for it?

Re: FOR SALE-Rare Emerson record
Interesting record, but Charlie didn't sign this particular record, he signed the master record. So this is in fact a copy of his signature. I checked out this record on popsike and gripsweat, and prices varied between $ 20 and $ 100 for uncracked copies. So I'm afraid that this one is of relatively little value.
