European Columbia type B

Post by DanP58 »

I bought this from someone in England it looks like a Columbia eagle except for the base. There is a 5 digit number on the base plate , it on the opposite side of the governor. Any info would be greatly appreciated? It came with a slide wood case , the case looks homemade???
see pictures
Thanks Dan

I was told to try this forum hopefully someone can give me some information about this machine and case. I posted same message on acoustics machine forum

This could be a Pathé rather than Columbia. Either way, the case is not a standard factory model; it was most likely made by or for the original owner, but these small, uncased machines were sometimes encased by dealers, usually with their trade label attached.

Thank you , I’ll try investigating Pathé machines and see what I find.
