I wanted to share a picture of my late, plain case Victor D, now that have found nearly all the needed parts. It still needs some minor repairs to the top (can't be seen with turntable) but I'm feeling pretty happy with it overall. Thanks to all the TMF members who provided needed parts. I've likely spent far more than it's worth, yet it's all about keeping these beautiful machines alive for the next 100 years.
It will eventually be the display machine for a beautiful 24B horn that John D is working his magic on. All I need to finish the machine is an original turntable for a D. At the moment a 5/16" ID and ⅜" OD sleeve bearing and a cast iron Victor V turntable works ok.
If anyone has an original D turntable they would be willing to part with please let me know.
