WANTED: Edison Bell Radio 1336 - "Oh, Ya Ya!" / "The Man From The South" - Harry Hudson's Melody Men
I'm back again, looking for another dance record. This time, one on the British 8" Edison Bell Radio label. If you have a copy you would be willing to part with, OR know the location of one which is being currently offered for sale, please let me know either by here or by PM (by location, I dont necessarily mean physical location, but rather the website/store/dealer itself). I am looking for V condition or better, and am happy to negotiate. I've added images of the label below. Thank you so much for looking.

Just a note- Do you have the 10 inch Paul Whiteman Orthophonic version of "Oh, Ya Ya" ? Not hard to find and a great piece of music.

Hey there! Yes, I do have a copy back home in WA in E or E- condition! Absolutely agree, it's a great recording, one of my favorite Whiteman sides from his pre-Depression era.pallophotophone wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 8:02 pm Just a note- Do you have the 10 inch Paul Whiteman Orthophonic version of "Oh, Ya Ya" ? This Edison Bell Record, I am mainly after for "The Man From The South". It's a hot recordings (as the label states) and I enjoy the comedic elements of it such as the banter between Sam Browne and Harry Hudson. I know it gets a lot of criticism, but I really enjoy the cheesy British comedy from these British Dance Band records of the 1920s and 1930s -- sure, it probably made some hot records sound less danceable or whatever, but I think it adds a charming touch to the overall character of the music. Thanks for the reply!
