Catchy tune, lyrics to make you smile and a white boy impersonating Louis Armstrong.
How can you go wrong? Good Luck

Looks to be a very well “played” B side.![]()
For what the the bids currently are, I’ll just be happy with my R. Crumb version.
And my dub off of YouTube.

Re: RARE record - Harry Roy Bat Club Boys Pussy 1931
Harry Roy (real name Harry Lipman 1900-1971) wrote the lyrics and music for "Pussy" in 1931, and first performed it with his orchestra at the Bat Club on Albemarle Street in London. He also sang the vocals on the Oriole record which was released in August 1931.
The record's rarity may be due to it being on a minor label at the beginning of Harry Roy's recording career. He soon moved to Parlophone where he made many recordings throughout the 1930's, but he never re-recorded "Pussy".

Re: RARE record - Harry Roy Bat Club Boys Pussy 1931
I was surprised at how suggestive this record was for 1931.
Is it because I am listening to it through late 20th Century/ early 21st Century ears or would it have been considered rather risqué at the time? There is often the perception that the past was more innocent.
