December 14, 1920: Died: George Gaskin. Born in Belfast, Ireland, Gaskin was one of the most popular tenors recording in the United States in the 1890s. His earliest cylinders were for the North American Phonograph Company, followed by a long and prolific career with United States Phonograph Company of New Jersey and Columbia Phonograph Company.
