From seller:
“As Found, Will need to be cleaned and oiled. Tonearm is frozen in place and will need unstuck.”
(Just a little WD40 and some steel wool and you're good...)
Question: "which shipwreck was this found on?"

What I don't understand, is the fact there's somehow more than one person who's willing to pay $60+ for that.

That's an extremely difficult to find piece, used only on the BY. If I needed one, I'd be thrilled to pay $60 for it.

I understand its rarity/desirability and the issue of price, BUT the extreme rust/pitting issues look almost impossible to achieve a desirable outcome. Maybe I'm wrong, but after dealing with many rust damaged pieces it will take a lot of effort to accomplish - maybe not impossible...

Various grits of abrasives, auto-body filler, primer, paint.
Strip, replate, polish the nickel-plated parts.
Like new again.
