Need measurement -- Amberola DX horn - Thanks

Post by outune »

Could someone provide the height measurement on an Amberola DX horn? ...from the inside floor of the machine to the top of the small end where the sliding horn connector/swivel attaches??
I'm working on a machine and I suspect it has the wrong horn in it. Someone had 'crafted' a sliding connector out of copper water pipe and attached it to the horn via a short piece of rubber tubing-- doesn't work.. BUT-- even with the correct original sliding horn connector that I borrowed from my Amb VIII, it doesn't work.

I'd appreciate the help.

Hello Brad:
Here's the measurement from my DX machine you asked for. It's 10 15/16 inches from what I can see. Hope this helps!

Hi Bob- and thanks- That's exactly what I needed-- As suspected, the horn in this DX is wrong-- It's a repair I'm doing for a guy-- but the machine is cobbled together--
I hope you had a great holiday- Perhaps I'll see you at Wayne..
Thanks again!
Brad
