Wanted: Small Piece of Antique Oak Veneer

Post by phonohound »

I am hoping someone on the forum can help me as I'm looking for a 10" x 10" piece of antique oak veneer. If you have some, please let me know the price and please provide a few photos which will help me determine if the color is close.

Please see photo for color of wood

Thanks for checking and appreciate it

There is veneer that is available in both Quarter Sawn and Rift Cut Oak that will work just fine if you are matching and not splicing into an existing piece. I have used that new veneers several time to finish an antique piece or phonograph. If you have a Hardwood lumber mill or Hardwood supply store around you, take the piece with you and sort though what they have to bet the best match. Hope this helps!

I have some veneer taken from cabinets, not sure if it's 10 wide or not. I can look if you haven't found anything yet.
