Hello all. I picked up a victor ii humpback case several years ago and have slowly been trying to source parts for it. It has not gone as well as other machines i have. So I'm hoping that i can get some help sourcing a few parts. As mention the in the title correct elbow is on my list. All together im looking for the following items.

- Correct motor mount screws. (I have some odd sized screws that fit but they are not correct)
- Correct elbow (my bracket has the wishbone, non slip in). This seems to be a small elbow and i am having no luck finding it
- Horn
- the motor shaft (not sure of its actual name) is sheared off about half way up the crank threads, would love to be able to replace that to get proper crank contact.

I remember I had a conversation with Don Gfell a few years ago before he passed…he gave me all the dimensions of the Victor horn elbows.
From what I can recall the Victor II horn elbow is specific to the Victor II and is the medium size or the 2nd to smallest horn elbow for the three or four sizes used (I - VI). Can’t remember which….
I can try and find those specific dimensions for you or give you a quick measure of my Victor II elbow. The Victor II elbow is the most difficult to find in my opinion other than the gold VI.
Others may have information for you that is more accurate. Hope you find what you need!

Thank you for the reply! If you would be willing to post your elbow dimensions that would actually be very helpful. As i am piecing these machines together part by part i only know if a part is correct or not when i attempt to attach it. So as much as i would like to say my bracket and arm are correct to the machine i don't have a reference to confirm that. Your elbow dimensions should confirm my bracket size is correct and therefore that i am chasing the correct elbow. Thanks again any help is greatly appreciated.

Measure the recessed diameter in the top of your back bracket, where the elbow would fit. Any elbow with a mounting flange of approximately that diameter will be the one you need.

Also, post a picture of your broken winding shaft. It's much easier for folks to help you when you provide pictures.

No problem. Looks like the horn base part that gets locked into the “Y” clamp is about 1.5” and the part that locks into the horn cone itself is about 2 ⅜”. Best of luck finding what you need!! Mike

Thank you for the pictures of your machine. They are very helpful. As requested here is a picture of the winding shaft and i took a picture of the bracket opening for comparison aswell. Im also not sure the brake is correct either. But to be honest i do not play records on my machines. I do want them functional and as close to original as possible but the brake isn't a huge deal at the moment.

That winding shaft seems short…I’ll compare with mine when able. Doesn’t seem like enough “meat” for the female end to grab. I may be mistaken..

The Humpback II is one of my Victor favorite machines. The brake is correct for the machine. The winding shaft looks like it's been shortened. Here is a photo of the one on my Humpback II. Hopefully, someone will have a replacement winding shaft for you.

As the OP explained, it's been broken off.

The winding shaft should be 3-¾" overall length. The notch cut in the edge of the cabinet should not be there. BTW, is it possible that the broken off end is stuck in your crank?

If you can't find one, I can make a new shaft for you.

The funnny thing is, in checking this out for you, I realized that my Vic II has the wrong crank . Can you post a pic of yours please?
