Edison Model "C" reproducer rebuild ?

Post by CraigDeShong »

Y'all were so helpful with getting my Edison Standard “D” running well I though I might beg a little assistance with getting my Edison Home Phonograph up and running.

The phonograph itself runs well but the reproducer probably needs a new stylus; I've attached a photo of the reproducer, showing the stylus and it appears to me that either the stylus is worn beyond all help or it's missing entirely. If I get agreement then maybe someone will suggest where I might get it repaired?

Thanks in advance for your help; you guys are the best !!

It will take a super closeup photo using a tripod and good lighting to be of any help. Your photo is not clear enough to see the stylus.

That stylus looks fine.

Ok, thanks. Let me fiddle with this phonograph a bit more and maybe I’ll have some follow up questions.

What makes you think you may need a new stylus? In what way it the sound not right? I agree with George, that the stylus looks okay.
