Hello Everyone.
I'm sure most of us have come across a record that had a marking to show its specific sale location. Typically, these come in the form of stickers, but recently, I found one thats a bit different.
This brunswick record features a stamped ring around the label, showing a dealer which after google searching it, reveals a catolog that mentions their sale of typewriters, wall paper, cameras, & even hammocks!
For me at least, its very interesting to see stuff like this, so i was wondering if any of you guys have any interesting markings left by record stores, whether a stamp like this, a sticker thats particularly interesting, or something different, & if so, post them here!

Interesting. Thats embossed and not just ink on the shellac, right? I wonder how hard they would have to stamp the record to leave an impression in the shellac

Nope, it is just ink. I feel no indentation when running my finger over it, its a bit raised even.MrRom92 wrote: Thu Jun 26, 2025 9:23 am Interesting. Thats embossed and not just ink on the shellac, right? I wonder how hard they would have to stamp the record to leave an impression in the shellac

Ahhh I see. Well, still really interesting approach. Considerate of them to not cover up label logos, trademarks or recording details, like most dealer stickers.
The only Fonotipia I have has a dealer sticker from a phonograph shop in Barcelona, unfortunately covering up some of that gorgeous label art… I also have a few Turkish records with a dealer sticker for a shop in Paris specializing in middle eastern records. It’s fun to imagine what a shop like that may have been like to explore, 100 years ago. These are really the only notable dealer stickers in my collection that come to mind.
