I need a VV-107 volume control doorknob.

Post by Bruce_Van_Note »

Today, I received a beautiful Victrola VV-107 that is missing a knob for one of the volume control doors. Does anyone have a doorknob for a VV-107 to sell? If yes, please let me know your asking price.

Bruce,
,
Congratulations!

The knobs on your VV-107 are not original, they have been replaced with modern kitchen cabinet pulls.

The original type is described below. Unfortunately the correct knobs were only used briefly and on just a few models but that doesn’t mean you won’t find them. Other than the finish the knobs are the same shape as the more common ones used on the VV-XVI and others which will make them fairly easy to find. Check with suppliers like George Vollema or EBay or one of the collectors on the forum.

The correct knobs for the Horn Door (HD) and Large Door (LD) on your VV-107 have a finish known as “Old Gold” (OG), the VV-XVI knobs have a “Gold Plated” (GP) finish. This is reflected as a suffix in the part number. Part number 1184xx is for the horn doors, 1183xx is for the large doors. Unfortunately Victor rarely marked the part itself. The dimensions are listed. Good luck with your project.

Thank you, Mark for the info. I shall check it out. BTW: the info such as dimensions, etc. must come from a catalog. Can you tell me who publishes such a catalog? Thank you again.
