healthy seller pricing on a few items I followed:

a Victor A Serial Number 37 went for $6k before fees and a Berliner Standard reproducer went for $1600 or $1800 - I'm kind of surprised, but nice to see never the less

On these scarcer items perhaps. At the same time Vic Os, R’s, Ms etc were going for $350 to $500 before premium. A trademark Berliner with an original reproducer sold for $1800, the same as the reproducer by itself. At least for Victors, I thought prices were really depressed and the eBay sellers who part machines out will do very well from this auction.

Bid on 4 machines. Thought I was paying a healthy amount. Outbid on all 4 by online bidders. Came home with an empty car. They now offer shipping on everything (in addition to online bidding), so you can buy without paying the $700 I paid to make the trip. While it's fun to be there in person, it's very likely I will bid from my desk on the next one.

The Stanton auction was exciting! The best part was connecting with old friends. The stuff is fun but the real takeaway is the relationships we develop over the years.

Stanton's website pics are often sparse - I bought a Victor Z based off 3 or 4 pics, I wish I could have been there in person

Mark, great video! Thanks for posting it - I saw that Victor A

I was outbid on a nice red two part horn, for an Edison Fireside.
There were three Columbia AB McDonald concert phonographs that I thought were pretty good but, I’m sure I would have been outbid on them. I would have paid $450.00 for one. Oh well, maybe some other time.

While I don’t necessarily disagree, keep in mind that many of those machines went to in-house bidders. Some of them were re-sellers, yes, but not parts sellers.

It’s definitely hard to get a feel for an auction watching online that’s for sure, and usually there is good reason a machine goes for a lower price. The auction certainly had a lot of great Victors to choose from. Just wished I lived closer. I appreciate the hard work that goes into curating these auctions.
