Hi. Could a member kindly send me some photos of the lid, with some dimensions for a Graphophone Model A (New York)
I am wondering what the 2 holes in the bedplate are for, possibly locating pegs in the lid?

What is a Zapper? I wish these silly CB Handles from the 1970’s would vanish.

I make a plea for each of us to sign our real names to our postings.
Here is a photo of a NY Model A. Sorry there are no dimensions but the lid aligns with the sides of the lower case with no overlap.
The two holes in the bedplate accept the two matching domed metal pins in the rear of the lid.

Re: Graphophone Model A (New York)
Thank you Mark for your reply.
Zapper was born out of Frank Zappa, as you say from the 70's
Is it possible for a front and side photo as I may try making a copy, to keep the upper works clean, as Graphophones are not too common in the UK.
Regards Brian

Well said. I think anonymity is rampant throughout social media and such, but I believe there is absolutely no need for a "user name" on this forum.MarkELynch wrote: Tue Sep 02, 2025 9:36 pm

I don't mind the creative usernames, although the humor of some of them is not always obvious, as long as the poster signs off his/her message with their actual name. I like to respond to individuals by first stating their name. For instance...
Bill,
I think your issue is...
I tend to not want to reply so much to...
Goofball78,
I suggest you try...
My two cents,
Jerry Van
