“A Miniature Concert” by The Eight Popular Victor Artists 1925

Post by melvind »

This is a very interesting and historic recording from 1925 (100 years ago as of this posting). It was the first electrical commercial recording created by the Victor Talking Machine Company. However, it was not the first electric record released. While recorded some weeks after the Miniature Concert record, Victor 19626 was released first.

I have this record! It's fun. Played it for my roommate recently, who doesn't mind the old phonographs and seems to have fun tampering with the Victrola XIV.

Excellent presentation of a great record, thanks! Beerless Quartet? Haha!

Coincidentally, there was a nice copy of this record in a very large collection I purchased two weeks ago, and I just came across it today. I had never seen it before.
