Ultona reproducer parts.

Post by skylineview »

First off, please accept my apologies if someone has already posted about this, but I haven't been able to find anything. I also apologize if I've posted in the wrong section.

I'm looking for parts for my Ultona. The diaphragm is damaged and the retainer ring is also broken. I'm also looking for gaskets. I can find TONS on the Victors, but almost nothing on the Ultonas. Fortunately this is my spare reproducer. I'm not too worried about it as I'm looking for a dual diaphragm (3 needle) Ultona.

I'm very new to all of this and this Brunny is my very first one. So far so good. Any help or points in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Clay

Normally, conventional gaskets used for the Exhibition sound box will work very well in Brunswick reproducers. These are readily available from a number of suppliers. A list of repair shops can be found here -- http://www.proaxis.com/~settlet/record/links.html -- Scroll down to the "Accessories/Restoration" list near the bottom of the page.

For the other parts, you may want to get in touch with some of the repair contacts listed in this post string:

There are many more posts on this forum about Brunswick reproducers --

As an aside, when I'm trying to find something that was posted on this forum, I use Google's "site search" feature. It's more comprehensive and easier to use that this forum's own search box.

To search for information contained within any website, go to Google's advanced search page -- http://www.google.com/advanced_search -- and type the search words in the appropriate boxes, and then in the bottom box next to "Search within a site or domain:" type the web address of the site you want to search, then click the "advanced search" button.

I just had a Single Ultona reproducer rebuilt by Rod at http://www.victrolarepairservice.com/
New diaphragm, gaskets, no complaints.
I have also bought replacement parts from George at http://www.victroladoctor.com/ (main elbows, etc)

If you contact either of these guys, they will have what you need.

Ron Sitko sells Brunswick Ultona diaphragms for $4. Fast shipping too. His number is 518-371-8549. He has a huge list of phono parts and good prices.
