Post by herrickpickups »

1st image attached= rebuilt upper works of an unknown Edison cylinder machine, 2nd image a complete class-m as found on line. The casting looks extremely similar but i dont know how big the cass-m is in reality, does anyone have one of these to compare it to please ? thanks

That upper works was used on the Class M, the early Spring Motor, the Class T (Treadle), and the Class W (Water Motor). The serial number dates it to around 1899, so it was used with a Spring Motor or Class M. The carriage is 1910 or later, and is inappropriate for a 2-minute machine since it accommodates a Model O (2 & 4-minute) or Diamond B (4-minute celluloid only).
