Decal on Victor Horns
I have 3 Victor outside horn machines. They have the brass and black horns. Looking at them (from the bell opening) one decal is at 3 o'clock, one is at 4 o'clock and the last on is at 12 o'clock. All are original to the machines, and the machines came from the original family's and not collectors. Did Victor try to put them in all the same spot? If so why are these all over the place?

Re: Decal on Victor Horns
I have an oak Victor horn that has the original finish and original decal. But, when the horn is attached to the machine, the decal is upside down! I can't figure it out!

Re: Decal on Victor Horns
Thats one is easy. The horn is not original to the machine. On the older machines the slot on the elbow was on the bottom, and the newer ones had it on the top. So if you you put a older horn on a newer machine or a newer horn on a older machine the decal will be upside down.

That solves that! Thanks! It looks nice and the vintage note I found in the machine said it came with the oak horn. Guess not!
