Brunswick Panatrope Cover

Post by recordo »

I found this today whilst rummaging through some of my fox trot records. I hadn't noticed this particular cover before with the references to the different frequencies that were able to be recorded with the new recording system.

Thanks for sharing this. I have one Brunswick record in my collection that has the lightning bolts on it, makes for such an interesting label design. This has to be an early record sleeve since I notice the P-11 on there. I have a later Brunswick S-31 Panatrope with radio that I have fully restored, both mechanically and electrically. They do sound very nice, definitely has a lot more bass punch than any mechanical machine and the volume is infinitely adjustable (no wonder they win out over mechanical). the S-31 uses a 27 tube for first audio amplification and 2x 45 tubes for power output.
