Squeaky belt on Edison A-80

After installing a new belt and many adjustments my Edison A-80 can play through a record now
with consistent speed. The belt however is quite squeaky. Is there any thing I can use to
quiet the squeak without losing friction in the belt? They sell some stuff called "belt ease"
but its made for automotive belts so not sure if that would be a good idea. Thanks for any tips.
