Hello all
I am trying to help a woman find a crank for her VV-215S. It is a common machine so I wouldn't think it is too hard a part to find. She has the Victrola that her dad gave her mother as a wedding present in the late twenties, but somehow misplaced the crank. She has been carting this victrola around with her for over 40 years and would really like to hear it again, and I would like to help her.
Thanks
John Robles

I don't have that machine in my collection but I have a bunch of extra cranks. How far is it from the end with the threads to the first turn? Jerry

Hi Jerry
Not having the crank, I have no idea. The machine is in Southern CA somewhere, I haven't seen it personally. It's a mystery!

Here are the dimensions for my VV 215 crank which is original. I'll start at the handle end and go to the threaded end.

3in x 5in by 5 ¾ in
⅜ diameter
last 3/4in threaded, male end with typical bullet shaped tip...tip included in the ¾ in measurement.

Hope this helps, I'm sure Jerry or someone else can come up with one for you.
Good luck and cheers!

Glenn

Hi Glenn
I am not sure I understand the measurement of 3x5x5-¾...Oh, is the 3" the actual handle portion with the knob?

John, picture the crank laying flat on the ground with wood handle horizontal on the left side:

3inches from tip of handle to outside of 1st 90degree bend down

5 in from outside of that bend to outside of next bend (90 deg right)

5 ¾ in from outside of that bend to end of threaded tip that goes into machine

⅜ diameter, last ¾ threaded

Hope this helps!
