American Pickers
Just watched the latest American Pickers...to interest to all us Victor people...they picked up what looked like a ten foot long canvas Victor Victrola advertising banner (with the nipper logo), for $100. I'd snatch it up for that price in a heartbeat.

That banner was amazing although I'd have no place in my house big enough to display it w/o bending it around a corner.. I bet I'd figure out a way to show it if it were mine.

Re: American Pickers
I saw that segment a while back. It would be interesting to find out if (A) they still have it around and how much they're asking or (B) if they've sold it and how much they got for it. I went on their website not long after the segment aired a while back, and didn't see it posted there for sale. I have to think that they have a list of buyers they'll contact when such goodies turn up, and so maybe (probably?) this sold almost immediately. I wouldn't have the room nor the cash for it, but it sure was a great old banner.

I saw that segment too several months ago. I wondered if the banner might surface at Union, but I didn't see it there.

Re: American Pickers
I had two of these banners and sent one to the Stanton's auction about
3 years ago. Only brought less than $400.00:-( Which was a lot less than I
paid for the darn thing. I was expecting that to turn up again. That
wasn't a very good auction for me. I also sent one of those 1924 Canadian
Victor needle tin counter displays with the angled glass cover, It was metal
and about a foot wide. It only brought about $350.00. I did hear from a
friend that was at Union the next year. You never know what something is
going to bring at auction!
