Here we have a nice restorable Columbia model A phonograph. It is the New York model, released in 1897. These early Columbias have a really nice look. This one has a super nice finish and a respectable original decal on the case bottom. As well, it has a really strong motor with a nice spring. It will need restoration as shown in the pictures as well as some readily available parts. The casting on the reproducer carriage has swelled/ cracked, so that will need to be addressed. All in all, a very nice restorable machine, or a great parts machine to restore or upgrade yours.
