I've never seen one with a wooden turntable like that.
In fact, there are a number of differences between the one for sale on ebay, and the one photographed and described here:

Definitely not old- possibly some home craftsman's one off, it looks like a decent quality job with a lot of cast and machined brass.

. The one in the link is a US prototype. This bad Ebay copy is trying to be a K&R toy Gramophon.

Now, how could that possibly be a repro? The listing clearly states that it's original.

Uh oh - - the auction has ended early. Maybe someone swooped in with a few thousand dollars and coaxed this fake away from the seller...!

Maybe someone emailed the seller and he (honestly) pulled his listing? Or someone got taken to the cleaners on this!

Well, I hope a collector didn't get ripped off. Just like the last three Berliner or Johnson wooden needle tubes that sold for over $300.00 USD each.....now that is a burn....

. They are pure "fantasy" and nothing more.
