For Victor 35482, see http://victor.library.ucsb.edu/index.ph ... ctor_35482. This is listed only as "Symphony in G Minor," so the presumption (by me!) is that it's Mozart's no. 40.

As for Victrola 6461, see http://victor.library.ucsb.edu/index.ph ... ictor_6461. This is Schubert's "Unfinished" in B minor, not A, assuming Victor 6461 is the same as Victrola 6461.

Interestingly, 35482 is not listed in Moses "Collector's Guide," but 6461 is.

Good luck in your search, and let us know if you find them.

By sheer coincidence, I happened to open up my Victor supplement for October 1915 and I found the description for the Mozart disc. Posting the full page for reference. Sorry for the distortion on the right side. I used my handheld scanner on this. It's a 12 inch disc selling then for 1.25. Everything else should be clear enough.

I wouldn't mind finding that disc myself!

The comments are right on. One can scarcely imagine a "more perfect" piece of music than the Mozart G Minor. (With credit to the U.S. Constitution; you know, the part that says "In order to form a *more perfect* union...."
